Girl Scouts

I'm a Cadette Girl Scout. This is my eighth year in Scouting. I really like Girl Scout summer camp. I went the first time in July 2001 to Camp Pine Acres, and went to Camp Timber Ridge in June 2002. The year before last (2003) was my first time staying two weeks and my first time at Camp Misty Mountian. That's my favorite GS camp so far. I went there last year, and am going again this year (2005).

I've finally found a troup! They're a bit away from where I live, but definately worth the drive.

My favorite part of Scouting is making new friends and learning new skills.

I've learned that sometimes it's hard to follow the Girl Scout law and promise, but that the wisdom and respect you gain from them is very valuable.

Since I'm homeschooled, my mom and I try to combine Interest Project requirements with academics as much as possible. It makes studying more fun if I know that it counts for Scouts too.

I've earned these awards.
